Dr. Venkat Subramaniam is an award-winning author, founder of Agile Developer, Inc., and an adjunct faculty at the University of Houston. He has trained and mentored thousands of software developers in the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia, and is a regularly-invited speaker at several international conferences. Venkat helps his clients effectively apply and succeed with agile practices on their software projects. Venkat is a (co)author of multiple books, including the 2007 Jolt Productivity award winning book Practices of an Agile Developer. His latest book is Functional Programming in Java: Harnessing the Power of Java 8 Lambda Expressions. We are so glad to have Venkat as the key note speaker of our conference.
A hands-on techie, Naresh is a globally recognized leader in eXtreme Programming. Currently Naresh is building two lean-startups in India. Part of his time is also dedicated to help Software companies as an Agile/Lean Coach/Consultant. From Organizational Transformation to enhanced Developer productivity, Naresh helps organizations embrace, scale and sustain essential Agile and Lean thinking. Naresh was the Chair for the Agile India 2012 Conference, largest conference on Agile and Lean in Asia. He founded the Agile Software Community of India (ASCI) in 2004. He is responsible for creating and organizing various international conferences including the Simple Design And Testing Conference (SDTConf) and Agile Coach Camp. In recognition of his accomplishments, in 2007 the Agile Alliance awarded Naresh with the Gordon Pask Award for contributions to the Agile Community.

Dr Michael Garrett is currently working as the Research & Innovation Lead at CingleVue International, in Perth, Australia. He is also an Adjunct Senior Lecturer, at the Centre for Higher Education Learning and Teaching Research at Edith Cowan University. Dr Garrett has a Bachelors in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia (First Class Honors) and a Ph.D. in Educational/Instructional Technology from Edith Cowan University.
Dinesh Priyankara started his IT career in 1998 and has more than 13 years of experience in various aspects of database technologies including Business Intelligence, Teaching, consulting and running training programs for database and business intelligence on Microsoft platform. Currently he is stationed as a Senior Architect - Specialist (Business intelligence) at Virtusa. He is an SQL Server MVP in Sri Lanka with specialties in Business Intelligence, Database Development and Database Administration. Dinesh is a regular presenter and a co-organizer of SQL Server Sri Lanka User group.

Having been recognized as an expert in IT infrastructure Management & operations, DevOps Practitioner and technological evangelist, Sanjeewa's experience focuses on managing various IT engineering teams in dynamic, mission critical and global environments. He is also the first AWS Certified Solution Architect in Sri Lanka. Sanjeewa is technically skilled across a wide array of technologies in global teaming scenarios with large, enterprise-scale sized teams. He is skilled at concepts such as Lean-Agile; DevOps engineering (continuous delivery pipelines using Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Maven, Ant/Nant and more); Cloud Architecture and design and public cloud; software engineering (RESTful services, NoSQL DB's and a variety of IDE's and development platforms) etc. Sanjeewa presents frequently at many IT forums in Sri Lanka.

Anuradha is working as a Delivery Manager at Exilesoft and he has been managing Agile offshore software development projects since 2005. He has been the program manager for multiple programs in Europe as well as in Australia since 2011. Overall he has more than 12 years of IT management experience. He is one of the three Sri Lankan certified SAFe Program Consultants (SPC) and also a Project Management Professional (PMP). Anuradha is the main organizer of Colombo Agile Meet up and, furthermore, he supports many community initiatives in Sri Lankan software community including Dev Day.

Thuru is a versatile technical person who has diversified experience in many areas of Information Technology, ranging from enterprise applications to consumer facing apps. Cloud computing, security, software development, consumer apps, wearables, business intelligence and databases are his most preferred technology areas. He is a frequent speaker in Sri Lanka .NET forum and Sri Lanka SQL Server Universe user groups. Thuru is the founder of Colombo Cloud Meet Up where he often talks about Azure, AWS and other cloud topics.

Neil is a passionate Agile and Lean thinker, manager, coach, blogger, tweeter and international speaker. He has been developing software professionally for over 19 years across a wide variety of roles and industries, in companies ranging in size from startup to large corporation. Neil is one of the early pioneers of the #NoEstimates movement and is the creator of the Slicing Heuristic method. He is an invited speaker at conferences worldwide including Agile India, Agile Singapore, ScanAgile, Agile Australia, 1st Conf, DDD, SIGiST and LAST. His mission is to help organizations become better at delivering software while creating more humane, happy workplaces. To achieve this, Neil focuses on providing the people doing the work with an environment which allows them to thrive.

Dr Subha Fernando is part of the academic at University of Moratuwa, and a talented computer scientist and researcher with special interests on artificial intelligence-neural networks, multi agent systems and genetic algorithms. She has a PhD from Nagaoka University of Technology in Japan followed by many projects and academic achievements both in Sri Lanka and abroad.
Asanka has over 8 years of experience in working with customers in USA, Norway, Malaysia and Sri Lanka managing delivery of cutting edge solutions. He is experienced in generating innovative ideas and driving the teams to convert the same to impactful products, with proven ability to groom engineering teams in order to maximize company profitability and efficiency. Asanka has played many parts from a software engineer to project manager, product manager and director. He is a frequent speaker at many meetups and conferences and possesses a First Class in B.Sc. (Hons) Engineering Physics from University of Colombo.
Shan specializes in mobile technology with over a decade of experience in that field. He has a strong background in telecommunication software development and has a great passion for coding in Android and iOS platforms. He works at WSO2 as the Director, Mobile Architecture, where he leads the mobile team in building a suite of open source software to solve the enterprise mobile first challenge. Prior to joining WSO2, he was working as the CTO/Director of Microimage Mobile Media. He played a key role in engineering products, where Microimage has won many local & international awards which includes winning the inaugural GSMA Asia Mobile Innovation Award, commendation from GSMA at the Barcelona World Awards in 2007, Asia Pacific ICT Awards (APICTA), National Science & Technology Awards (Sri Lanka).
Anthony is an expert on Accessibility/Usability practices in web and mobile applications. Currently he is managing the Pearson Accessibility Centre of Excellence, for both Colombo and Chennai offices. He provides technical consultancy for the technology teams to improve overall usability of their products, and he makes sure it is fully accessible for any type of users irrespective of their disability. For the first time in the Software Industry of Sri Lanka, Anthony also took the initiative to employ and train blind users to test digital media using Assistive Technology.
With over 10 years of experience in the Software Industry, ranging from electronic product related application development to enterprise software product development. Samudra is both a technological and business savvy person. As a Software Architecht at 99X Technology, he specialises in web application design and development and product migration amongst others. Samudra also lectures at many universities on Software Engineering and other related subjects, and has addressed many forums and conferences over the years.
Janaka Rangama is a Microsoft Certified Trainer, Cloud Architect & an Open Source Evangelist who designs solutions for enterprise clients, shaping businesses towards the hybrid cloud with System Center, Azure & Office 365. Being certified from both Microsoft & Red Hat at the highest level as a cloud expert, Janaka also engages in promoting DevOps practice in Sri Lanka. Janaka is a community leader at Sri Lanka IT PRO Forum, the Sri Lankan Microsoft technical community for IT Professionals and also he contributes as a technical speaker for Microsoft Cloud Community Europe, SLASSCOM Technology Forum & Singapore PowerShell User Group.
